Sydney is calling

According to Albert Einstein, time is relative and each one of us, according to the situation we are, interprets it in a different way. During the last two months, time has passed too quickly for me but it seemed like an eternity. So many incidents and so many raw and pure emotions happened in my life that I can hardly today collect my memories. I rush to track them down, under the threat of forgetting some of them (how could I?).

I have left Milan, the city in which I have plotted my plans for the future, the first siren of my Odyssey. I am emotionally connected to this city not only because I have had my two best years in my life but also because I met some nice Greek and Italian friends. I couldn't imagine that it would have been so hard to go away from them! However, when one takes a decision about his life, he should stick to it, no matter how hard it is going to be.

Next step was to travel to Sydney where I am still living and studying today. In theory it was quite an easy decision to take whereas in reality it was very difficult, especially the first weeks, to get acquainted to the local way of life and overpass the bureaucracy. I have fought bravely and stood up to my rights and here I am again, struggling for the environment I am studying Environmental Sciences at the University of Sydney in a postgraduate course.

Will be here around, thinking of Europe and especially Greece but also taking advantage of my privilege to live in such a beautiful city like Sydney!

Odysseus has lost again his Ithaka but this time, on the journey back, he is near his destination, the last destination!
